Craftsmanship
My childhood passed in my father’s shop.
I learned from my father to solve the customer needs, to sell products, to persuade the customer, to trade.
The people of Kayseri took their children to business life and, if they failed, they had them educated.
I guess he had my father read it to see the danger and not to ruin the business.
Do not forget to say that I already earn 10 times the money you will receive.
Maybe my father was right, but life cannot be understood without living.
I had a 14-year-old shop. I remember the day I kissed my father’s hand because our business was growing.
My father also enjoyed it. This kid will improve my business.
However, he did not know that he would develop things for someone else.
Life had made him an Industrial Engineer. Now strategy, analysis, optimization, simulation, project management was his middle name.
He was working with all his might to execute his profession.
When he started his career, he was faced with a salary for the first time. Then he realized that the salary was the professional’s drug.
He had friends around whenever they yearned to be managers and directors. Most of them were children of civil servant families.
He had learned in his life that he had to do something today to take the bread home in the evening.
In order not to feel embarrassed when he is seated. His father called him the boss. He would say what did you do today to deserve this meal.
He used to catch up to two meals at that factory, sometimes even three. He worked 16 hours and he would get permission from his manager not to work on Sundays.
However, there was something strange. After a while, he hacked the system automatically.
While he was thinking about whether he deserved his dinner, he found out that there was such a thing as overtime and he was getting a manager salary.
When the situation was noticed, overtime was quickly removed. He was first asked if it would be a problem? Why should it be a problem? He said with all your naivety.
When his friend next to him said that he would be a manager, that manager had reached his salary. But the system should have filed these outliers. He should have eliminated more standard deviations and not take it out of the standard deviation.
And finally it happened. Tradesmen and entrepreneurship were indifferent within him.
He was in his blood, but he was saying that maybe I read stubbornly with his father but I could be a tradesman entrepreneur.
But he would never be the boss as his father said. Because he couldn’t learn to be a boss from his father.
But the most successful things he has done now are his father’s legacy.
It was what he learned in that artisan shop.
But he chose to learn constantly. To write down what they could not do, what remained of them.
He has lost his heart to technology development and business models.
Tradesman couldn’t get himself away. He always dreams of those shopkeepers. He was thinking about how all those kids would make their lives better.
He started to develop technologies for tradesmen, and tried to pay his gratitude, and in honor of his father, whom he remembered with respect.
